Little Miss T!!

On Wednesday, August 11 we welcomed my Tennessee into the world!   I got to experience witnessing her birth - it was AMAZING!   Only God could create such an amazing little human being and such an amazing thing as the gift of life!

This by far was the most Amazing thing I have ever experienced!!  She is absolutely adorable - I am biased, but see if you agree!

It's been awhile...

I have been neglecting my blog lately...

I have been wanting to re-design it - did a little bit of that tonight.

So, you might wonder why I chose to rename my blog - Go-Go on the Go-Go.   Well, I am aunt to two amazing nieces and 1 darling nephew.  John is almost 2 and can't say my name so, some time ago he started calling me Go-Go.  I must admit that out of all my nick names Go-Go is my absolute favorite!  I am often on the go running to and fro and always have a lot of projects going on - so hence the name Go-Go on the Go-Go.

So, the last time I blogged I only had 1 niece....two weeks ago I became a proud aunt.  I got to witness the birth of baby T!   We love her so much and you will meet her soon - be waiting for pics!

In the mean time, since I have last blogged, I have taken on a number of craft projects.  I made wooden letters for my neices and nephew to hang in their rooms, made magnets, and purchased lots of materials for many more projects.  I also picked up some yarn and some crochet hooks - I think I am going to learn to crochet - we'll see if my mom has the patience to work with me.   I have tried on several other occasions - maybe I am mature enough to handle it now.  :)

God's Blessings

God has blessed me in so many ways.  It can be so easy to only focus on the things that I don't have that I forget to stop and be thankful for the things he has given me.

I may not have the husband, the kids, and the house that I have dreamed, but I have great friends, a nephew, and niece and one on its way and a roof over my head.

I have been down for a while now about the friendships that I felt like I lost and maybe I truly have lost those friends.  But that just means they weren't meant to last.

Tonight I was reminded to be thankful for the friendships that I do have.  The best friends are those that you can truly be yourself around, be completely honest with and talk about anything.  They are the friends that push you do be a better version of yourself and will encourage you and stand behind you.  I have these types of friends in my life and I am going to be better at focusing on those rather than those that have come and gone.  Thanks, Carrie for reminding me that I have a good friend in you!

Blast from the past

Life was simpler then ....much simpler - no work, no drama just kidding - I am sure there was drama - drama about who did what, who got more than the other person, who got more candy etc...

There weren't cell phones, no technology distractions - we had to create a lot of our own fun!  My aunt and uncle had some old junk cars that we could decorate, plan in/on and just not care about what happened to them.  We often played games like cops and robbers, hide and seek and tag.  We had homemade boat races in the ditch out in front of their house.  And we ALWAYS ate ice cream - HOMEMADE ICE CREAM!!  My uncles worked hard - very hard - cranking away at the mixers because back then we couldn't just plug them in!   Oh those were the days - I miss my fun times with my cousins.  We are all grown up now and most are married with children and it is hard for all of us to get together, but when we do - look out - it is going to be a good time!
